Yoga Classes
Explore yoga in an enthusiastic, supportive environment that will allow you to deepen your understanding of your body. All poses are taught in a way that invites you to build on your strength and flexibility, both on and off your yoga mat. Yoga classes at The Pod are designed to improve function and decrease pain, tension and stress. You will be stronger, more mobile, more peaceful, and able to better cope with life’s challenges. Classes typically run 5-8 weeks per sessions, all year.
Early registration is recommended as classes fill up quickly.

Class Descriptions
Therapeutic
These classes are designed for those who have current or past injuries and/or chronic pain. They are also helpful for people with stiffness in hips or shoulders, general inflexibility, weaknesses, herniated discs, etc. This form of Yoga focuses on freedom of movement, improved range of motions, pain reduction, proper alignment and movement patterns, as well as improving body awareness. This style of Yoga will help you to achieve more joy from work and play. No previous experience with Yoga is necessary.
Ageless Ladies
These classes are open to older (over 50 yrs) women of all abilities and experience. Postures will be selected and modified as necessary to meet your needs, experience and ability. These classes are also therapeutic in nature – improving how your body feels and functions.
Men’s Only (Man Stretching)
These upbeat, challenging classes are designed for men of all levels – beginner to experienced. They are Therapeutic in style, designed to help improve flexibility in hips, backs, shoulders and feet. Time is also allocated to the development of core strength and balance.
In all yoga classes, you are reminded that this is your practice and to listen to your body ... this is the most important principle of Yoga at The Pod.

Private Yoga Sessions
These sessions can be designed for either the beginner or advanced Yogi. The intention is to help you live well – at home, work, and play - to feel the best you can physically, mentally, and emotionally, using Yoga as the tools to get there. Private classes are ideal for people with pain, injury/illness, and/or those looking for more relaxation, strength and ease of movement in their lives. The sessions will help you reduce pain, teach you proper body mechanics and body awareness as well as helping to regain functional movement. If your desire is to deepen your personal understanding of Yoga or motivate you to practice at home, private sessions are ideal. Sessions are therapeutic in nature - focusing on awareness and relaxation, while gently increasing strength, stability, and mobility. Programs are designed to meet your specific needs – whether you wish to improve your sport(s), your home life, or your ability to perform your job with greater ease of movement.
Sessions occur in-studio and are typically 45-60 minutes. Semi-private sessions with 2-4 people are also available.
