Message from Daena |
I
love everything about Yoga. I believe Yoga can help the mind/body
heal itself in a variety of different ways. I have seen great
results from clients using Yoga to help rehabilitate injuries,
post-surgeries, chronic joint/muscles issues, weakness in the body,
systemic disorders, insomnia, and of course to reduce stress.
My
teaching style is a blend of several different forms of Yoga. I
teach poses/sequences specifically designed for the students in my
class. Thus, the poses are chosen for YOUR body and your personal
goals. Yoga benefits every level of your being: lymphatic,
circulatory, and nervous systems. Yoga may also help your
skeletal, muscular, and energetic systems as well. Yoga can help
balance all aspects of your body/mind in order to help you achieve your
health and wellness potential. Currently, my passion lies with
teaching Therapeutic Yoga ( stiffness in hips, shoulders, general
inflexibility, weakness, herniated discs). This form of Yoga
focuses on freedom of movement, improved range of motions, pain
reduction, proper alignment and movement patterns, as well as helping
you increase your body awareness.etc. My style of Yoga helps allow you
to achieve more joy from work and play.
My
classes are enthusiastic (and sometimes challenging!) Although
they are professional, classes are also fun and casual. I
encourage questions and feedback (and good jokes; mine usually are
not) I keep class sizes small to allow for personal attention and
pose modifications/adjustments. Below is the full spectrum of
classes I teach small groups, privates, and semi privates. All
classes can be customized for the in home or in my new studio. For
further details regarding class descriptions, costs, times please
email/call me. Click on the link for access to the current
schedule. Please note: not all of the classes may be on the
schedule as there are sometimes changes within the week.

Private Yoga with Daena
These
sessions are designed for the beginner or advanced Yogi. My
intention with these sessions is to help you live well – at home, work,
and play. To feel the best you can physically, mentally, and
emotionally…using Yoga as the tools to get there.
My private classes are designed for people with pain, injury/illness,
and/or those looking for more relaxation, strength and ease of movement
in their lives. The sessions will help you reduce pain, teach you
proper body mechanics and body awareness as well as helping the body
regain functional movement. If your desire is to deepen your
personal understanding of Yoga or help to motivate you towards a
practice at home, these sessions are made for you. Sessions are
therapeutic in nature - focusing on awareness and relaxation
while gently increasing your strength, stability, and mobility.
Similar to my Massage Therapy treatments, these yoga sessions are
specific to you. Programs are designed to suit your lifestyle – whether
you wish to improve your sport(s), your home life, your ability to
perform your job with greater ease of movement. I can also create
programs if you have 15 minutes in your day or 1 hour.
My clients come from all walks of life and all levels of health.
For more information on why clients come to Yoga or the results they
experience, goto the success page on this website.

Missed Classes / Drop-ins
First,
thanks to all of you who let me know when you cannot make it to
class? This has made it easier for me to communicate with other
students who wish to make up or drop-in to another class. BIG
THANKS! So, it would be great for all of us if that were to
continue. As often as you can, please notify me via email/text if
you are unable to get to class. You will be allowed to make up
that class. If at least 6 hours notice is not given, I cannot
permit you to make up that class or provide you with a refund.
Sickness, extraneous circumstances do not apply, of course.
I will continue to email all of you when there is space in the class
and if you could confirm your attendance, it would be
appreciated. Remember, this is only applicable to registered
students for my classes only. It is meant to ensure you do not
pay for classes you have or will be missing. I will also
strive to keep you updated of any changes to my schedule. Thanks
gang!
A Quick Note:
Please refrain from sharing videos, downloads, passwords, emails,
etc. These tools are created to help you bring my style of yoga
into your home so you have the pleasure of practicing whenever you
choose. I respectfully ask that you keep all information passed
to you via The Pod strictly for yourself as any information is property
of The Pod. Thanks for your understanding.
In addition, sometimes there are last minute changes. I strive to
keep you informed with up-to-date schedule and rate changes.
Sometimes these changes to do not always get to the website and/or to
students/clients as fast as I would like. Please note that I
attempt to have all information as current as possible. Thanks! DB
I look forward to another amazing 8 weeks of Yoga with all of you! And starting a NEW YEAR at The POD!
I am excited to bring you some new concepts, ideas, and ‘torturous devices’ to keep you breathing, moving, and giggling……
DB
